The Equestrian Committee (Hong Kong) of Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (the Equestrian Committee) had been established and its first meeting was held on 5 October 2005. The Committee is chaired by the Chief Secretary for Administration and is responsible for making policy decisions and give directions for the organization and staging of the equestrian events in Hong Kong in 2008.
